The number 40 is a big deal in the Bible. Throughout Scripture, God used 40-day or year periods to prepare His people for their work in the future. While these periods often began in deserts - places of trial and testing - they always ended with encouragement, growth, and hope.
Between now and Labor Day, we invite you into the desert to take a 40-day journey with God. Over the next couple of months, we’ll spend 40 days diving into pivotal moments in the life of Jesus. Those days don’t have to happen consecutively, so if you miss a day, don’t fret. Just catch up when you can. As we set aside time to reflect on the life of Christ, we look to God for the encouragement and growth that will prepare us to join Him on mission in St. Louis and around the world.
