Appreciate Neighborhood Workers
Think of the people who provide services in your neighborhood like your postal worker, trash professional, lawn care providers, etc. Learn their names. Say hello. Find small ways to show your appreciation for the service they provide.
- Offer ice cream bars or popsicles on a hot day.
- July 1 is National Postal Workers Day. Write a kind note and leave it at your mailbox along with a snack or a small gift card. Let your postal worker know how much you appreciate their service to your neighborhood.
- The next time you expect a delivery, leave a thank you note for the driver next to a packaged snack and bottle of water, or include a $5 gift card. Let them know that you appreciate how they serve your neighborhood.
