John Frauenhoffer turned his chemical engineering degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia into an incredibly successful career in industrial business-to-business sales and marketing leadership throughout the past 38 years. These roles were within industry leading global corporations, such as Nalco Chemical, Tetra Technologies and currently BP/Castrol. In every role throughout, John’s products and services have connected with water….either the treatment of process and waste water, remediation of groundwater or it’s use when combined with metalworking fluids. John has led and consulted with dozens of publicly and privately owned Castrol Distributor’s Owners and Sales Teams in the delivery of profitable growth throughout the US the past 28 years.

The past 14 years, he has adaptively and empathetically led dozens of men and women in doing the same, with a focus on coaching them in their own personal growth and emotional wellbeing. In 2006, confronted with the desperate need for clean water in the developing world and his professional connection to water, he felt called to help solve the problem in his lifetime through engaging with the work of Living Water International. What began with raising awareness and money through the running of half marathons, has led to regularly leading groups of men and women form the St Louis area to Guatemala on short term well trips to Guatemala to deliver Water Access, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) solutions and in the past six years included raising awareness and funds through Eureka CrossFit’s annual WODFORTHETHIRSTY and F3 STL (Fitness, Fellowship, Faith) BEATDOWNFORTHETHIRSTY.

John lives with his wife, Kim in Eureka, where they have raised five children well and are enjoying their two granddaughters and can’t wait for their grandson’s arrival this Fall. As he finishes up his life in the corporate world, he is excited for the opportunity to apply his spiritual gifts and learned capabilities in the not for profit space meeting the needs of The Thirsty during what he hopes to be his most productive decade of work as he lives out his mission to Pursue Jesus, Kim; Love The Thirsty.
