2020: The year that Hope won

2020 was quite the year, wasn’t it? Because of your generosity and giving, serving, and following God’s lead, The Crossing not only survived, but in many ways, we thrived. Together, we were able to offer opportunities both virtually and in-person for people from all walks of life to explore God’s truth, experience His grace and express His love boldly to a watching world around us. Because of you, many will look back on 2020, not as the year of the pandemic, but as the year of Hope Wins. Here’s what we mean.

Experience Grace

Because of you, people from all over the world found truth, comfort and hope by being able to experience worship and learning together every weekend.

Express Love

As a church, it is our honor to serve one another inside the walls of our building as well as the community outside our walls. Throughout 2020, we came together from a distance using our time, talent, and resources to safely serve people locally and globally.

Serving Team Members

The real MVP’s at The Crossing are our volunteers. These amazing people helped us pivot many of our ministries to an online format. They served during weekend services, facilitated groups and classes, led our kids and youth, and relentlessly prayed for us and our community.

When the world shut down, you all spoke up and shared a global message of hope. We called it Hope Wins and we invited our church family to share the good news by creating signs, posters, pieces of art, and a whole lot of other beautiful displays of this truth.

The offering we collect during our Christmas Eve services goes beyond our walls and is used for the work of Living Water International. The money you gave during our services and throughout 2020 supports clean water wells, education, hygiene and sanitation classes, pastoral training and so much more.

Explore Truth

In March and April, we moved all of our classes, vision venues, and groups online. Using tools like Zoom, we created opportunities for people to humbly explore God’s truth and engage in conversations with one another, from the safety of their homes.
