This privacy policy applies to the websites (thecrossing.church and thecrossing.online) and mobile application for The Crossing church based out of Chesterfield, Missouri. By using our site, you consent to our Privacy Policy as detailed below.

We take your privacy very seriously, but we also rely on a lot of data to do effective ministry. To that end, we're going to answer some questions you might have about what information we collect and what we do with it.

What information do we collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering for an account on our websites or app, filling out a Connect Card, giving to the church, registering for an event, signing up for a newsletter, or any time you enter information into our site.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us, the choices you make and the features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

Contact and Demographic Info. We collect your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, date of birth, grade, gender, marital status, and associated family members. Personal photos can also be uploaded to your account.

Credentials. We collect passwords and similar security information used for authentication and account access.

Payment Data. We collect data necessary to process your payment if you donate online or pay for an event, such as credit card number and the security code or a bank account for ACH transactions. We do NOT, however, store full credit card or bank account info in our systems.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate our websites or app. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our websites or apps and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our websites, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

We also collect your responses when you use the interaction features in our app to provide a response to a question in-service. That response, along with your campus, is sent to designated moderators, our teacher, and sometimes displayed on screen in the service.

In this process we do obtain your account information, but this data is deleted from our system after 7 days. Your response is not associated with you in your profile or in any other way.

To send periodic email newsletters, text messages, or push notifications you’ve opted in to.
To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content in which you are most interested.

Will your information be shared with anyone?

At no time is this data shared with (or sold to) third parties except as where required by law.

To the best of our ability, we have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our website. All communications between your browser and this web site are encrypted with industry standard SSL Certificates from trusted Certificate Authorities that your browser already trusts. Backups of our database/CRM are also encrypted, protecting them in the event of theft or loss.
