He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”

What is the worst thing about Mondays?
Can you think of a time you got angry and you could have faced it differently? What happened?
Discuss
1. Read Mark 11:12-17. What do you notice about the connection between the fig tree and the Temple? What do you think about Jesus' actions in the Temple?
2. What does this say about us? Consider 1 Corinthians 6:19. What does it mean for your body to be a Temple of the Holy Spirit?
3. How do you feel about this statement? "Jesus isn’t flipping tables because He’s mad at us—He’s flipping them because He loves us."
4. What tables need to flipped in your life? What is standing in the way of true worship, of fully surrendering to God?

Pray
Will's Prayer
Jesus, we invite You into the Temple of our hearts. If there’s anything in us that is keeping us from fully worshiping You, we surrender it right now. Flip the tables of pride, sin, distraction, and anything that keeps us from knowing You more. Cleanse us, Lord, so that our lives would reflect Your glory. Amen.
