A belief or action opposed to God can be called a stronghold. Kimberly shared examples like shame, guilt, pride, and perfectionism. Did one relate to you? Is there a stronghold she didn't mention that you would like to share with the group?
Do you find yourself being held by a stronghold more often or you holding tightly onto something that is keeping you from experiencing God fully?
Action Steps
Kimberly encouraged us to fill in the blank for ourselves: The stronghold in my life is _________. Then she asked the question, would you be willing to surrender it? If there is an un-surrendered stronghold, consider surrendering it this week. That could look like a prayer of surrender but also sharing with a trusted friend, pastor or counselor.
