"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence."

Ephesians 3:10-12

The word "freedom" here also means "boldness". We can come boldly to the throne of God because of the freedom we have in Christ Jesus.

Paul's Prayer:

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Ephesians 3:14-19

Christ is at home in your heart as you trust him more and more. How does trust grow in a relationship? How can we intentionally grow in trust in our relationship with Christ?

Are there part of your life where God is calling you to take that next step of faith? Is He inviting you to "dive in"?

Last week we were challenged to make a commitment to take such a brave step. We were even asked to make that step public.

The Bible talks quite a bit about vows:

"Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them" Psalm 76:11

"When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it." Ecclesiastes 5:4

"I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people" Psalm 116:14

Hannah makes a vow in 1 Samuel
