What was your one word that Easter means to you?
What do you do in your life to relax and find “your peace?”
When is a time you have had doubts about something with your faith?
How have you addressed those doubts?

Read John 20:1-10. When was the last time you showed courage? How does the disciples' response to the empty tomb mirror how we often respond to our resurrected Lord?
Read John 20:11-18. In her grief, Mary did not realize it was Jesus speaking to her at first. Why do we miss when God is speaking to us? Mary announced to the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that He spoke to her. What would be your proclamation of how you see and hear Jesus today?
When was the last time you witnessed a resurrection in your own life and how did that occur?
Compare John 20:24-29 and 1 Peter 1:8-9. Do these two verses say the same thing, and if they do, how? Why are they so important to us today?
What is the most important piece of evidence to you that makes the resurrection logical and certain? Why?

Pray
Jesus, how can we ever thank You enough for the sacrifice you made? We cannot fathom the depth of your suffering and the love for us that it must have taken to endure so much pain. Your death and resurrection make it possible for us to survive the darkness and know that morning is coming. Thank You for the umbrella of grace that You cover us with daily, and help us live in such a way that reflects the joy of the empty tomb. Go with us this week and give us the courage to show the world that Easter means there is assurance that our hope in You is real. We ask these things in your most Holy Name. Amen.
