Read: Luke 11:1-13, Psalm 34:18, 1 Peter 5:7, Philippians 4:6-7, Romans 5:3-4, 1 Thessalonians 5:16, Luke 22:42-43
Reflect:
1. What makes it hard for you to pray?
2. What do you make of what Paul says about anxiety and prayer in Philippians 4:6-7? Ben mentioned that Paul himself experienced anxiety during his ministry. So how do you understand these verses?
3. What do you make of the statement that prayer is primarily about what happens IN us as opposed to FOR us?
4. We had an opportunity to share our prayer requests in service. What are you praying for?
Do:
Try praying The Lord's Prayer, taking your time and listening for what God has to say to you in the midst of praying.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
